Trusted by leading agribusinesses

the problem

The risk is too high to be running blind

Working alone is part of agriculture. People are spread across large properties, moving between jobs, with little reception and often working beyond the sight of managers and other team members

You can't always see your team

Manual check-ins are easy to miss

Another device creates friction

FAQs

‍

How does Onside’s lone worker safety software work?

When a team member checks into a property using the Onside app, they set their expected departure time. Managers can see when they arrive, what work they’re doing and when they’re due to leave. If they become overdue, Onside automatically triggers notifications and follow-up calls.

What happens if a lone worker doesn’t check out?

Onside alerts workers as their expected departure time approaches. If they become overdue and don’t respond, the Overdue Dialer automatically calls them before escalating to nominated Team Leaders through a predefined call tree, so an overdue worker doesn’t rely on someone noticing they’re missing.

Can I see where my lone workers are?

Yes. Onside's web portal dashboard shows a real-time view of which property each team member is checked into, what job they’re doing, how long they’ve been there, when they’re expected to leave and whether they’re overdue.

Does Onside work in areas with poor or no mobile coverage?

Yes. Onside is designed for rural environments and works without data coverage, including checking in and out, viewing property risks and reporting incidents. Information captured offline is stored on the phone and synced when connectivity returns.

Do lone workers need to carry a separate safety device?

No. Lone worker functionality is accessed through the Onside mobile app, so your team can use the smartphone they already carry rather than managing a separate lone-worker device. It brings lone worker monitoring into the same system used for property check-ins, risks and incidents.
